Project Gallery - "Dunes Paradise"
Grand Beach, Michigan
|
The Challenge:
Located in a subdivision along Lake Michigan, the house sat 20 feet above the road and was built in pure sand. The client wanted to preserve the natural setting and create a backyard complete with many areas of entertainment. "Lots of color all year" was a must. Privacy and interaction circulating not only around the residence but from the outside in was also critical.
The Solution:
Transform this desolate area into colorful excitement with access to different areas surrounding the house. The pool area is sunken into the ground with an 18" seat wall around the perimeter of the patio, allowing the homeowner to feel secluded into an area of privacy. From the outside looking in, it appears as if the ground has not been disturbed.
Overall Effect:
This is how a summer home should be. Action everywhere, parties, cookouts and "cannonballs" into the pool!
